No Hands Brass Band

Alec Bell is a trumpet player from Denver, residing in Greeley, CO. He has been with No Hands since 2019, and has played with other funky groups around the state, including The Burroughs, Soul School, and other projects. An avid reader and frolfer, Alec enjoys classic and modern literature, hucking discs around his alma mater's (UNC, class of 2018) disc golf course, and making delicious craft cocktails at The Kress Cinema & Lounge where he manages in downtown Greeley. He also offers private brass instrument lessons seasonally (Fall & Spring).

Allison Young is a saxophonist / woodwind doubler currently based in Denver. Allison performs locally as a bandleader and sidewoman for groups such as the Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra, the Annie Booth Big Band, and the Drew Zaremba Jazz Fellowship Orchestra. Recently, she also toured internationally with the Glenn Miller Orchestra in the Reed 5 chair. She has performed alongside musicians such as Dick Oatts, Jeff Hamilton, Wayne Bergeron, Greg Gisbert, Randy Brecker, Tia Fuller, Terell Stafford, Father John Misty, and Ms. Lauryn Hill. She has also recorded with the Zaremba Fellowship Orchestra, Ted Davies Big Band, and the Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra, all with records out now. For more information, visit her website.

Zachary Rich - Trombone

Joe Ricard is a composer, arranger, bandleader, teacher, and low brass player from the Boston area. He earned undergraduate degrees in Jazz Composition and Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music in 2012, a Master's degree in Jazz Composition from The New England Conservatory in 2015, and is currently pursuing his Doctorate at the University of Northern Colorado. While teaching and musicology research are his main focus, he remains an active freelance musician, having played with groups such as The Plain White T's, The Elovators, Ayn Inserto's Big Band, and The Hot Tamales Brass Band. He currently resides in Denver and plays with No Hands Brass Band, and is a touring sub for The 8-Bit Big Band. Joe also leads and runs an events band called The Dapper Brass, which plays weddings, fundraising galas, and commercial events around the Denver area.
